“INGENUITY 2022” a Techno Cultural & Sports event organized by
Department of Computer Science & Engineering at SMS Lucknow In which
Technical, Cultural Sports events will be organized. This will provide a
platform for all participants to showcase their talent.
SMS Lucknow organized ‘AAGAMAN 2022’ on 24th December, 2022 to welcome
the entrants. The event was organized at the campus. The inaugural ceremony
which was graced by CEO Mr Sharad Singh, Director Dr. Manoj Mehrotra, DG (Tech)
Dr. Bharat Raj Singh, Associate Director Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Dean
Engineering, Dr. Hemant Kumar Singh, Dean Student Welfare, Dr. P. K. Singh,
HOD's of various departments, course coordinators, faculty members, Staff and
students.
Mr. and Miss Fresher and other competitions were organized. The purpose
of a Fresher’s Party was to welcome new students in a friendly atmosphere and
to encourage their creative impulses to boost their confidence. It is the day
where seniors and juniors finally bond and unite to celebrate being part of the
college. Students of first Year were welcomed with full fervor and zeal.

The Innovation Carnival was organized on 4th June 2022 under the aegis of Sir CV Raman Research and Innovation Center, at the School of Management Sciences, Lucknow. The said innovation carnival was inaugurated by the Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Durga Shanker Mishra Ji among the other distinguished guests of the government. The Guest of Honour was university Prof. Pradeep Kumar Mishra, Vice Chancellor, AKTU and other dignitaries included Dr. Hemant Thackeray, National President, The Institution of Engineers (I), Kolkata, Mr. Anil Kumar, IAS, (Secretary Urban Development), Mr. Bhavani Singh Khangrot, IAS, Director, Non-Conventional Renewable Energy Development Authority (NEDA), Mr. Ajay Kumar, Member Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board and many more officers from their departments also attended. On the inaugural of the above occasion, the Chief Guest, Shri Durga Shanker Mishra appreciated all the inventions done by the students and their teachers. One of the inventions is the Air-O-Bike, which not only reduces air pollution but also harnesses the potential of pressurized air. Apart from this, many notable inventions like Solar Electric Cycle, Solar Electric Street Car, Solar Cooler, Solar Powered Refrigerator, Chainless Bicycle etc. were displayed at this event.
SMS Lucknow organized ‘Alumni Meet 2022’ on 21st May, 2022 for the pass out students of batches (2016-2021) of Management as well as Technical Courses.The event was conducted at the Multipurpose Hall of SMS Lucknow, and began at 3.00 p.m. with inaugural ceremony which was graced by DG (Tech) Dr. Bharat Raj Singh, Associate Director Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Dean Management, Dr. Suneel Gupta, Dean Engineering, Dr. Hemant Kumar Singh, Dean Student Welfare, Dr. P. K. Singh, HOD's of various departments, course coordinators and faculty members.After the lamp lighting there was an address by DG (Tech), Associate Director and Dean Management followed by Experience Sharing by Alumni. The highlight of the event was a one hour long cultural program where old students also participated.The Memento distribution ceremony was graced by the benign presence of Mr. Sharad Singh, CEO SMS Lucknow, Prof (Dr.) Manoj Mehrotra, Director, SMS Lucknow.
The event ended with high tea for the Alumni who had thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
The event “CIVIL ELITE 2022” was organized by the department of civil engineering, SMS Lucknow as part of an annual departmental event to promote leadership, cultural awareness and technical excellence among the students.
This event was two day long and was held in the premises of our college. In this mega event, students from various courses of the college took part. The event included sports events like Volley ball, Tug of war, races and long jump that were organized in grounds of the college. The event also had indoor sports event like carom, chess and table tennis organized in the hostel’s common room The Dignitaries praised the entire event a lot. Dr. BR Singh guided with his inspirational words and inspired to do better. It was followed by the announcement of the winning contestants of various competitions on 21st April, 2022.
Deaprtment of Mechnical Engineering,SMS Lucknow organized an
event”Mechera 2022 on 14th-15th March 2020 to enhance the skills of students
from all the programmes of SMS Lucknow.In this event, students participated in
various events like Quiz,Chess, Hit the wicket, Treasure hunt,back race and
many more. The event ended with the felicitation of winners .
International Women’s Day, which was observed on 8th March,
2022 was celebrated at School of Management
Sciences, Lucknow.The events was graced by the benign presence of Mr.
Sharad Singh, Secretary & CEO, SMS Lucknow, Prof (Dr.) B.R.Singh, D.G
(Tech) SMS Lucknow, Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Dean Academics, Dr. Jagdish Singh,
CGM.
In his address, Mr. Sharad Singh brought out the role of woman in family and society. He addressed
that women’s day is to celebrate the achievements of women in various fields and also to express
our respect, appreciation & love towards the most powerful gender.
The program was truly turned out to be an inspiring element to
the women Faculty & Staff of
the college.All the women present
in the celebration were gifted with “a flowerpot with a Tulsi
plant” and celebration ended with a great triumph.
SMS family members
celebrated the festival at its premises. CEO Mr. Sharad Singh along with other
dignitaries, faculty, staff members celebrated this day with great zeal by
exchanging colors and wishing people a 'Happy Holi'.
Student club along
with nomitaed faculty members organized an Intra College Annual Cultural Event
“fest from 3rd March 2022 to 8th March
2022”. The event was a day-long affair comprising six competitions such as
Debate, Online Quiz, Online Photo contest, Rangoli, Mehndi and Nukkad
Natak in which students of all the
streams, Management, B. Tech, Diploma and B. Sc., participated with enthusiasm.The
event was graced by Secretary & CEO Mr. Sharad Singh, Director SMS Prof.
(Dr.) Manoj Mehrotra, DG (Tech) Dr. B.R. Singh, CGM Dr. Jagdish Singh, Dean
Academics Dr. Dharmendra Singh, HODs and other dignitaries of SMS Lucknow.
Vasant Panchami is a
festival which triggers the coming of Spring and the day is alsocelebrated to
perform prayers and other riturals in commemorating goddess Sarasvati;the
Goddess of Wisdom.As a custom of every year, this year also SMS-Lucknow
celebrated this day on 5th Feburary, 2022 at its campus with the same pomp and
gaiety. A puja ceremony followed by Yajna was performed at the Ganga Block at
the Multipurpose Hall to mark reverie to the goddess for her showers of
blessings.
The student club at SMS Lucknow celebrated Republic Day on 25th January 2022 under the broader ambit of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” in online mode. In this event, students participated in various events such as Quiz, Poster making and Video making competition and expressed the spirit of freedom and India of their dreams. The event was concluded by results announcement and motivational words by Director Dr. M. Mehrotra. All the winners and participants were given E-Certificates
The student club at SMS, Lucknow celebrated
‘National Youth Day/Birthday of Swami Vivekananad” on 12 th January 2022 in
online mode.In this event, students participated invarious events such as Quiz
and poster making and expressed their views, knowledge and awareness on the
life and philosophy of Swami Vivekanand. The event was concluded by results announcement
and motivational words by Director Dr.
M.Mehrotra. All the winners and participants were given E-Certificates.
